Resolution Authorizing The Purchase Of 1,944 Roll-Out Refuse Carts
And 880 Yard Waste Carts Through The Houston-Galveston Area
Council Cooperative Purchasing Program From Rehrig Pacific
Company In The Amount Of $126,611.51.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from the State's
competitive bidding requirements pursuant to TExAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE
§252.022, which reads as follows:
This chapter does not apply to expenditure for. ..(12) personal property
sold:. . under an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered
by a regional planning commission established under Chapter 391.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in this cooperative agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Rehrig Pacific Company is offering these
roll-out refuse and yard waste carts through the Houston-Galveston Area Council
Cooperative Purchasing Program, and it is in the City's best interest to purchase these
carts in accordance with the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase 1,944
roll-out refuse carts and 880 yard waste carts from Rehrig Pacific Company in the
amount of $126,611.51 through the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program.
