Ordinance authorizing the Fire Chief to accept funds through the
Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG), Department of Homeland
Security (FEMA), in the amount of $890,525 and appropriating the
local matching requirement of $53,106 from the General Fund
WHEREAS, the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) offers grant awards
through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council previously authorized the Fire Chief to apply for
grant funding through this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Fire Chief is hereby authorized to accept grant funds from the Department of
Homeland Security for $890,525 in grant funding through the Assistance to Firefighters
Grant Program and authorizes the appropriation of $53,106 from the General Fund for
the local matching requirement.
