The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.

leave of absence for a few days for the purpose of studying methods
of fire departments in other cities.

considered and after discussion Alder..,an Young moved that the contract

!TAYOR TO SIGN SAME: APPROVING THE CONTRACTOR'S BONDS THEREFOR LND APP-
ROPRIATING FUNDS FOR. THE CITY'S POTION OF THE COST THEREOF.
WHEREAS, a contract in writing; between the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, and Plains Paving Comnany for the improvement of
Filmore Street from its intersection with 5' North of Ilorth Property Dine
of Avenue "G" to its intersection with Dorth Property Line of Avenue "I"
together with the construction and maintenance bonds, required thereby,
are this day presented to the Board. of Aldermen for adoption and approval;

WHEREAS, the bid of Plains raving Company for the
making and construction of the improvements provided for in the -said
contracts, has after due advertisement and notice, been made and upon
the opening of the bids said contract was awarded to said Plains Paving
