The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Curd that the petition Of F. J . Legear
for closing Swartz Avenue between Blocks 2 and 5, of the South Park
Addition be referred to Commissioner Clifford for investigation and
recommendation.

The hearing to property oviners on Pembroke Lane and
Sturdevant Mace was called and after hearing all protests Alderman
Clifford moved that the hearing be continued until 7:30 P. Ii. October
13, 1924, which motion was seconded by Alderman Curd and carried by
the following vote:
Yeas: Alderman Shepherd, Alderman Curd,A Alderman Patton,
Alderman Clifford.
Nayes: None.

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the -ayor be authorized
to deed back to firs. Alice Robertson a 20foot alley running through
Lot 2, Block 237 Original Townsite due to the City having no use for
said alley.

and 'file Co., be permitted to tunnel under or go over Harding Street
where said street abuts their property, provided said tunnel or over

ed to advertise for bids for ambulance service for one year from Oct.
13, 1924.

authorized _to pay 4150.00 toward the purchase of part of a lot in Entriken
Subdivision in order to open up a 20 foot street in that section.

to issue deed to T. J. Waggoner, covering Lot 2081 Block IT, Riverside Oem -
etery to him. Said deed to be issued on affidavit of 0,0.nership on file in

Planing Co., for �66.02 covering one half of the cost of material used in
repairing the City and County Pest house be allowed.

This is to certify that the pavement on Idonroe Street
from the alley south of Avenue H. to the south line of Lot, 6, Block 85A
Highland Addition, and on avenue J, from Monroe Street to raft'Street has
been completed. by Valieant and Toomey, Inc., Contractors in accordance
with the plans and specifications therefor heretofore filed with your hon-
orable body.
I, therefore recommend that this paving be accepted.

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed his report with
this 3oard to the effect that Valieant and Toomey, Inc has completed the
work of paving and improving Monroe Street from the North Prpperty Line of
the alley betwwen Avenue H, and Avenue I. to the South property Line of
Lot Six (6), Block Eighty -Five (85-A) A. Highland Addition to the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, under a contract with the City of Wichita Falls, and
WHEREAS, said work has been fully done and completed in
strict accordance with said contract and specifications adopted by
the City.
THEREF01:E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF AIDE 11"!E11 OF THE
CITY OF W ICH ITA FALLS, TEXAS:

That said work of improvement be, and the same is, hereby
finally accepted by the City of Wichita malls, Texas.
II.
That the i;layor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby
directed to sign, issue and deliver to Valiennt & Toomey, Inct certifica-
tes of special assessment in accordance with the ordinances, resolutions
and proceedings of the B,=:ard of Aldermen of the City of Wichita falls,
Texas, heretofore passed and taken in connection with the street imp-
rovement hereinabove described.
III.
That this resolution shall take effect from and after
its passage.

permitted to construct a cafeteria near the Sam Houston School, the build-
ing of same to be without a concrete foundation.

been burned during 1922 on Lot 10, Mock 49, Southland Addition the tax
