Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute Task Order #3 in
the amount of $27,600 for a Lake Wichita cross section study and a
chloride study as part of the contract with Carollo Engineers, Inc. for
a Lake Wichita 404 Permit application to the U.S.A.C.O.E.
WHEREAS, the Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee at their regular meeting
April 12, 2016 acceptance of Task Order #3 with Carollo Engineers, Inc. in the amount
of $27,600; and,
WHEREAS, the Task Order #3 includes a Holliday Creek cross section study
($8,500) to measure the elevations at standard intervals for use in the impact analysis
of the mitigation plan and the second is a chloride study ($19,100) for using Lake
Diversion make-up water for Lake Wichita to determine the threshold concentration
limits that will support Golden Alga, a significant cause for fish kills; and,
WHEREAS, funding for this Task Order #3 will be from the Lake Wichita
Revitalization Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute Task Order #3 in the amount
of $27,600 for a Lake Wichita cross section study and a chloride study as part of the
contract with Carollo Engineers for a Lake Wichita 404 Permit application to the
U.S.A.C.O.E.
