Resolution No. _60-2016_
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an amendment to
an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Wichita
Falls, Wichita County, and the Wichita Falls Independent School
District regarding the resale of properties foreclosed on for
delinquent property taxes located in the city limits of Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas
WHEREAS, the City, acting as Trustee for the three taxing entities must have
approval from Wichita County and the WFISD to sell trustee property for less than the
struck off amount of the property or for the appraised value at the time of the judgment ;
and,
WHEREAS, in an effort to expedite the City’s ability to sell the property and
place it back on the tax roll; and,
WHEREAS, Wichita County and the Wichita Falls Independent School District
have both taken board action and approved said Interlocal Cooperation Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached Interlocal Cooperation
Agreement between the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, and the WFISD for
delegating the authority of bid approval to the Property Administrator as determined by
the Wichita Falls City Council.
