Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for and accept a
Bus and Bus Facilities Section 5339 Grant from the Federal Transit
Administration to purchase four (4) 35 -Foot, Low-Floor Transit
Buses
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for the replacement
and expansion of its transit bus fleet ; and,
WHEREAS, partial funding for this project may be available through the Federal
Transit Administration under the Bus and Bus Facilities Section 5339 program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls may apply for TxDOT Transportation
Development Credits to seek 100% funding for this capital purchase to offset local
match requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF W ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for and accept a Bus and Bus
Facilities Section 5339 grant from the Federal Transit Administration for the purchase
of four 35-foot, low-floor transit buses.
