Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute Interlocal
Agreements with regional public transportation providers receiving
Federal Transit Administration support for the purchase of fuel, and
amending the 2015-16 budget accordingly
WHEREAS, regional transportation providers are nonprofit agencies that provide
federally subsidized transportation services to the region ; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and these regional transportation providers
seamlessly work together to provide transportation services to the surrounding
counties; and,
WHEREAS, regional transportation providers require diesel and unleaded fuel to
provide their services; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to enter into an Interlocal
agreement to allow for the sale of fuel to regional transportation providers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached Interlocal Agreemen t
with regional transportation providers for the purchase of diesel and unleaded fuel, with
changes to form as approved by the City Attorney ; and the 2015-16 budget is amended
to increase the Transit and Fleet Budgets by $64,500 in revenue and $60,000.
