ORDINANCE WAIVING SEC 82 -58 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
GRANTING THE WICHITA FALLS RADIO CONTROL CLUB LICENSE
TO DRIVE MOTORIZED VEHICLES UPON THE GRASS IN ORDER TO
MOW AND IRRIGATE THE TURF AROUND THE MODEL AIRCRAFT
RUNWAY IN JAYCEE PARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Radio Control Club has been performing voluntary
mowing and irrigating of the turf around the model aircraft runway in Jaycee Park for
many years; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to grant the Club a license to perform such
maintenance tasks; and
WHEREAS, the Club will comply with any irrigation restrictions and be liable for
any violation of such restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Sec 82 -58 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to grant the
Wichita Falls Radio Control Club license to drive motorized vehicles upon the grass in
order to mow and irrigate the turf around the model aircraft runway in Jaycee Park. All
irrigation by the Club shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of City
ordinances.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
