ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 14 -384 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES WHICH PROHIBITS GIVING ANIMALS AS PRIZES
OR INDUCEMENTS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Red River Optimist Club Funfest will be held at Depot Square
Historic District, 8th and Ohio, June 8, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Red River Optimist Club would like to give goldfish as prizes in
their Funfest booth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 14 -384 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived during
the Funfest event, June 8, 2002, to be held at the Depot Square Historic District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
