Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Rezoning 29.79 Acres In The Kemp And Newby Subdivision Of
Cherokee County School Land Abstract-33 And The Hatton Road
Baptist Church Addition From Single Family-1 To General
Commercial; And Amending The Land Use Plan To Show The Area
As Commercial
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning change at its July 14, 2010 meeting and voted unanimously to recommend
approval of this request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined that
the herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICH ITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Tracts of land consisting of 25 acres and 1.25 acres in the Kemp and Newby
Subdivision of Cherokee County School Land Abstract-33 and 3.54 acres in the Hatton
Road Baptist Church Addition, as depicted in Attachment "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein, are hereby rezoned to General Commercial.
2. The Land Use Plan Map is hereby amended to change the aforementioned
area from low density residential and institutional to commercial.
