ORDINANCE NO. 37-2010
Ordinance Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Documents
Necessary To Accept $40,496 From The U.S. Department Of
Homeland Security, Texas Division Of Emergency Management, As
Part Of The Federal Emergency Management Performance Grant
(EMPG) Program, And Appropriating Said Funds To The Special
Revenue Fund For Emergency Preparedness
WHEREAS, the Emergency Preparedness Program has received notice of the
award of 2010 EMPG funding from the Texas Division of Emergency Management that is
identical to the amount the city received in 2009; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is used primarily to fund a portion of the salary for the
City's Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, and the City's Emergency Preparedness
Program desires to receive these funds to continue providing services to the city; and,
WHEREAS, the award of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY 2010 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept
$40,496 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Texas Division of Emergency
Management, as part of the federal Emergency Management Performance Grant
program, and these funds are appropriated to the Special Revenue Fund For
Emergency Preparedness.
