Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Rezoning Lots 8-11, Block 1, Southland Addition, 0.78 Acres Out Of
E.A. Austin Survey, Adjacent Rights-Of-Way Of Clark Street And
Marshal Street, Lots 1-7, Block 4, Southland Addition And Adjacent
Alley Rights-Of-Way, From Single Family-2 To General Commercial,
And Amending The Land Use Plan By Changing The Aforementioned
Area From Low Density Residential To Commercial
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning change at its June 9, 2010 meeting and voted unanimously to recommend
approval of this request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with this recommendation and has
determined that the herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in
the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Lots 8-11, Block 1, Southland Addition, 0.78 acres out of E.A. Austin
Survey, adjacent rights-of-way of Clark Street and Marshal Street, Lots 1-7, Block 4,
Southland Addition and adjacent alley rights-of-way, and other property as depicted on
Attachment "A", which is incorporated herein, are hereby rezoned from Single Family-
2 To General Commercial.
2. The Land Use Plan Map is hereby amended to change the
aforementioned rezoned area from low density residential to commercial.
