Ordinance Appropriating $9,978.00 To The Special Revenue Fund For
Additional Grant Revenue From The State Of Texas For The Texas
Department Of Transportation Selective Traffic Enforcement
Program (Click It Or Ticket) Wave Grant FY 2010 For Traffic
Enforcement And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All
Documents Necessary To Accept Said Grant
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been invited to participate in a direct
award from the Texas Department of Transportation for the purpose of selective
enforcement;
WHEREAS, the primary emphasis will be on increasing compliance with
occupant restraint laws by adults and front seat occupants as well as other uses
authorized by the grant during the holiday period; and
WHEREAS, the holiday period will span May 24, 2010 through June 6, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is appropriated $9,978.00 in the Special Revenue Fund for the purpose of
selective traffic enforcement, as authorized in the grant from the Texas Department of
Transportation, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary
to accept same on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
