The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls$ Texas$ met in called
session in theCouncil Room of the Memorial Auditorium at 7-30 o'clock P. M.
on the above date., with the following members present:
Harold Jones Mayor
Lloyd Thomas
Roy Parish
J. R. Ray Aldermen
R. A. Putman
R. J. Braun
J. B. Hickerson City Clerk
Frank Wood City Manager
J. Walter Friberg City Attorney

Mayor Harold Jones announced that the purpose of this meeting to be the
consideration of Ordinance No. 1556$ excluding Sheppard Air Force Base from
within the city limits of Wichita Falls.

ORDINANCE N0. 1556
AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING CERTAIN TERRITORY AS A PART OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS AND ELIMINATING THE SAME FROM THE CITY LIMITS OF WICHITA FALLS$
TEXAS$ THE SAME BEING PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AND STATE OF
TEXAS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS$ PART OF
WHICH IS NOW SHEPPARD FIELDS ALL OF WHICH LANDS ARE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND WHICH WERE TAKEN INTO THE CITY LIMITS BY ORDINANCES
NO. 1344 AND N0. 1355, CONTAINING 1634 ACRES OF LAND MORE OR LESS.
Moved by Alderman Parish that Ordinance No. 1556 be approved and passed
as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Putman and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Thomas$ Parish., Ray$ Putman and Brown.
Nays: None.

Motion seconded by Alderman Brown and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
