Min 11/06/1950 902 i Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building November 6, 1950 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita falls, Texas, met in called session on the above date at 7:00 otclock P. M. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Building, with the following members present: Harold Jones Mayor L. R. Abbott 0 Lloyd C. Thomas 0 Roy W. Parish Aldermen J. R. Ray R. A. Putman R. J. Brown 0 J. B. Hickerson City Clerk Frank Wood City Manager J. Walter Friberg City Attorney Mayor Harold Jones announced the purpose of this meeting to be for the hearing of various representatives of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company relative to the proposed rate increase in Wichita Falls. After a lengthy discussion of various phases of the Telephone Company operation, Mayor Harold Jones called the Council to order and they proceeded with their regular business. ORDINANCE NO. 1539 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO y�TICE:ITA CITY LINES, INC., A TEXAS CORPORATION, AND ITS LAWFUL SUCCESSORS, THE RIGHT AND PRIVILEGE TIC HAINTAIN AND OPERATE MOTOR BUSES AS A CITY-WIDE MOTOR BUS TRANSFORTATION SYSTEM, CARRYING PASSENGERS FOR HIRE IN 11Z UPON THE PUBLIC ROADS, AVENUES, STRi±,1 TS, ALL_,.YS AND HIGPJAYS 'ATITHIN THE CORPC:RATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF TaCHITA FALLS, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONIDITIC:NS UNDER °,1IICH SUCH RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES AND FRANCHISES SHALL BE EXERCISED. Moved by Alderman Ray that Ordinance No. 1539 be approved and passed as read on its third and final reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Brown and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Abbott, Thomas, Parish, Ray, Putman and Brown. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Thomas that the City Clerk be authorized to transfer $4410,64 from the current Water Fund Cash to the following accounts: Parking Meter Fund $3870.60, Park Fund w540.04. Motion seconded by Alderman Abbctt and carried. Moved by Alderman Thomas that the meeting be adjourned. Motion, seconded by Alderman Brown and carried.
