October 23, 1950 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date at 7-30 o'clock P. Hickerson City Clerk The following Report was presented by Mayor Harold Jones: REPORT OF THE ENGINEER AS TO FINAL COMPLETION OF IMPRIJVrIvIEPJTS ON ROBERTS AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS. TO THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: Gentlemen: I I beg to report that Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of Wichita Falls, Texas, to whom was awarded the contract for the improvement of certain streets and avenues in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has completed the improvements on ROBEJtTS AVENUE, from the West Property Line of Van Buren Street to the East Property Line of Sunset Drive, known and designated as Unit or District No. 14. The said 4provements having been completed in strict accordance with the terms of said contract and specifications of said work adopted by the City, I hereby recommend that the said improvements be finally accepted by the Board of Aldermen. RESOLUTION NO. 90 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING I,MPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF ROBERTS AVENUE AND DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, heretofore entered into a contract with Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of Wichita Falls, Texas, for the making and construction of certain improvements on the following portion of Roberts Avenue in said City to wit: ROBERTS AVENUE, from West Property Line of Van Buren Street to the East Property Line of Sunset Drive, known and designated as Unit or District No. 14. and J, WHEREAS, such improvements have been completed upon said portion of Roberts Avenue and have been inspected and found to be complete in accordance with the contract therefor, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE BOARD OF ALDEKMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: 889 I. The improvements on said portion of Roberts Avenue be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract wits reference to the construction of such improvements be, and is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed. II. The May be, and he is hereby directed to issue and execute in the name of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against abutting property and owners thereof for such improvements, and the City Clerk is directed to execute same and impress thereon the corporate seal, all in accordance with the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments; such certi- ficates shall be delivered to said Coj4pany. TO THE BOARD OF ALDENNIEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: GENTLEMEN: I beg to report that Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of Wichita Falls, Texas, to whom was awarded the contract for the Smprovement of certain streets and avenues in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has com- pleted the improvements on POLK STREET, from the North Property Line of Bullington Street to the South Property Line of Kings Highway Street, known and designated as Unit or District No. 6. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, heretofore entered into a contract with Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of WichitaFalls, Texas, for the making and construction of certain improvements on the following portion of Polk Street in said City to wit: POLK STREET, from the North Property Line of Bullington Street to the South Property Line of Kings Highway, known and designated as Unit or District No. 6. and, 891 WHEREAS, SUCH improvements have been completed upon said portion of Polk Street and have been inspected and found to be complete in accordance with the contract therefor, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF 1t1ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: I. The improvements on said portion of Polk Street be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with reference to the construction of such improvements be, and is hereby, found and declared fully completed and per- formed. II. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, heretofore entered into a contract with Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of Wichita Falls, Texas, for the making and construction of certain improvements on the following portion of North Third Street in said City to wit: 8-92 NORTH THIRD STREET, from the West Edge of Pavement on North Broadway Avenue to the West Property Line of Grant Avenue, known and designated as Unit or District No. 5. and, VTIIIEPEAS, such improvements have been completed upon said portion of North Third Street and have been inspected and found to be complete in accordance with the contract therefor, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TLXAS, THAT: I. The improvements on said portion of North Third Street be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with reference to the construction of such improvements be, and is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed. II. TO THE BOARD OF ALDr.:IOEN OF THE, CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: Gentlemen: I beg to report that Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of Wichita Falls, Texas, to whom was awarded the contract for the improvement of certain streets and avenues in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has completed the improvements on TAFT STREET, from the South Property Line of Avenue "H" to the Center Line of Avenue "J", known and desighated as Unit or District No. 4. The said improvements having been completed in strict accordance with the terms of said contract and specifications of said work adopted by the City, I hereby recommend that the said improvements be finally accepted by the Board of Aldermen. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, heretofore entered into a contract with Stuckey Construction Cojjpany, a partnership, of Wichita Falls, Texas, for the making and construction of certain improvements on the following portion of Taft Street in said City, to wit: TAFT STREET, from the South Property Line of Avenue 11HIi to the Center Line of Avenue 'fill, known and designated as Unit of District No. 4. and, WHEREAS, such improvements have been completed upon said portion of Taft Street and have been inspected and found to be complete in accordance with the contract £herefor, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER4EN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: I. The improvements on said portion of Taft Street be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with reference to the construction of such improvements be, and is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed.
