The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls., Texas� met in called
session on the above date at 5:00 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room in the Memorial
Auditorium Building, urith the following members present:
Harold Jones Mayor
L. R. Abbott
Lloyd C. Thomas
Roy W. Parish Aldermen

RE30LUTION NO. 85
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall notify the Wichita City
Lines, Inc., the bus company which holds the franchise for the operation of
buses in the City of Wichita Falls, that the Board of Aldermen will consider
at its meeting to be held at the Municipal Auditorium on the lst day of
August., A. D. 1950, at 1:00 o1clock P. M.,, the repeal of Ordinance No. 1337
granting a franchise for the operation of a bus line, and will also consider
the repeal of Ordinance No. 1491, permitting the Wichita City Lines, Inc.,
to acquire such franchise; and the City Clerk is directed to notify the
Wichita City Lines., Inc.,, to be present and be heard on the question of
whether its franchise shall be repealed.

Moved by Alderman Abbott that the above and -foregoing Resolution
be approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman R. J. Brown and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Abbott, Thomas, Parish, Ray, Berry Brown and R. J. Brown.
Nays: None.

RESOLUTION NO. 86
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Wichita Falls shall cause suit to
be filed against the Wichita City Lines., Inc., and in addition to the services
of the regular City Attorney, shall employ Leslie Humphrey to assist in
said suit.

Moved by Alderman Ray that the above and foregoing Resolution be
approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman R. J. Brown and carried by the following
vote:

Moved by Alderman R. J. Brown that Mayor Harold Jones be authorized
to sign a Change Order No, 2, dated July 25, 1950, to Contract No. AF 41(183)-19
dated October 1. 1948.. with Sheppard Air Force Base, for and on behalf of the
City of Wichita Falls.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Abbott., Thomas, Parish, Ray, Berry Brown and R. J. Brown.
Nays: None.
