The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, rriet in
culled session on the above date at 7-30 o'clock in the Coarcil Room in the
Memorial Auditorium Building, with the following merribers present;
Harold Jones Mayor
L. R. Abbott
Roy W. Parish Aldermen
J.R. Ray
Berry Brown
J.B. Hickersen City Clerk
Fr-nk Wood City Mana-er
Mayor Harold Jones stated that the purpose of this meeting was to
discuss the proposition of whether or not the Gulf Oil Corporation should be-
allowed to build a service station at 9th & Lamar St. After both opponents
and proponents had been heard, a decision on the matter was deferred until
the next regular meeting of the City Council.

3- IT i"BSCLVED by the City Council of the City of Wichita Fall-,,
that the Housing Authority of the City of Wichita Falls be authorized and
directed to operate the hoL:sirif projects within its area of orur-ation be-
longing to the City of Wichita Falls as )rovided and authorized by Article
1267-u of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas a#d that such Housing authority
be authorized to provide for the operation, mai.ntenLince, construction, re-
construction, improvement, alteration or repair of any such housing project
or any Nart thiereof out of the revenue derived from the operation of such
Project.
Moved by Alderman Brown that R solution No. 51 be adopted and
passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Parish and carried by the follovzng
vote;
Yeas: Aldermen Abbott, Parish, Ray and Brown.
Nays: i�lore.
Moved by Alderman Parish that, the request of the Globe Plurlbing Co.
= for the 0 -ty to waive the prcvisiona of the City PluYmbing- Code on the i nctalla-
tion of plumbing; in the SoutYunoor 2x11anor be denied.

Moved by Alderman Ray that the meeting; be adjourned.
