The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called
session on the above date at 7-30 o'clock M. in the Council Room in the Memorial
Auditorium Building with the following members present:
Harold Jones Mayor
L. R. Abbott

Roy W. Parish Aldermen

B. C. Hunter

The Minutes of the regular meeting held January 23., 1950 were read and
approved as read.
Moved by Alderman Parish that the Board of Aldermen ap rove and author-
lp
ize the installation of a sahitar7 sewer line in the 3100 block on Ninth Street
when and at such time as the adjacent property owners deposit with the City Clerk
such funds as are required for their proportionate part of the cost of installation.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried.
Moved by Alderman Abbott that the Board of Aldermen authorize payment
of the sum of $5910-07 to the Wichita General Hospital for December charity
patients and to direct the City Clerk to draw a warrant for the same upon like
payment by Wichita County.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried.

Moved by Alderman Thomas that the Board of Aldermen authorize payment
to Hamilton-Martin Investment Co, the sum of $96.27, being, final payment on the
water main contract entered into by and between the City of Wichita Falls and
the Hamilton-Martin Investment Co, March 1, 1940, covering Country Club Estates
2nd Supplemental Addition; and further to direct the City Clerk to draw a
warrant for the*same.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried.

ORDINANCE NO. 1512
AN ORDINANCE CREATING A PARK BOARD FOR THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS:
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ITS MEMBERS; SETTING OUT THEIR POWERS AND
DUTIES; AND DECLARING AN aMG�24CY.

Moved by Alderman Hunter that Ordinance No. 1512 be approved and passed
as read on its second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Abbott2 Thomas, Parish, Ray and Hunter
Nays: None.

Moved by Alderman Parish that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
execution of a Lease Contract with L. B. Dawson covering Lot 18, Block BI
0
Lake Kickapoo, and to direct the City Manager to execute same for and on
behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried.

Moved by Alderman Ray that the Board of Aldermen appoint J. B.
Hickerson City Clerk, effective February 15, 19502 to succeed the present
City Clerk whose resignation is effective the same date.
Motion seconded by Alderman Abbott and carried.
Moved by Alderman Thomas that the Board of Aldermen employ the
services of J. B. Allred & Go. to audit the receipts and disbursements of
the City Clerk up to and inclusive of February 15, or when and at such time
said City Clerk is relieved of his official duties.
Motion seconded by Alderman Abbott and carried.
