The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular
session on the above date at 7-30 o'clock P. M. in theCouncil Room in the Memorial
Auditorium Buildin6, with the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Brown that the Board of Aldermen approve and authorize
the execution of a Pipe Line Lease by and between the City and the M. K. & T. Ry Co.
for the installation of a 12 inch water line across the M.K.& T.Ry. Co. premises
in the vicinity of Jefferson St. and to authorize and empower Mayor Harold Jones to
execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
Motion seconded-by Alder--ran Ray and carried.

Moved by Alderman Thomas that the Board of Aldermen approve payment to the
Wichita General Hospital the sum of $3610-31 for November charity patients and to
direct the City Clerk to draw a warrant for the same upon like payment by Wichita
County.

Moved by Alderman Ray that the Board of Aldermen authorize refund of $50-00
to Harry Krebs for deposit previously made to the City for sewer extension at 2403
Brook, for keason that the installation was due Mr. Krebs without cost, and further
to direct the City Clerk to draw a warrant for the same.

Moved by Alderman Thomas that 6he Board of Aldermen approve and authorize
the execution of a water main contract in the amount of $8366-77 by and between
E, E. Cloer and the City of Wichita Fall,3, upon the comfitions and terms recited
in the said contract, a copy of which is filed in the office of the City Clerk for
future reference; further to authorize and empower Mayor Harold Jones to execute
the said contract for and on behalf of the City of Wichita- Falls.

Moved by Alderman Ray that the Board of Aldermen authorize the issuance
of a permit to T. A. Littekin for the purpose of erecting an elevated gasoline
storage tank at 2712 Buchanan. providing the same is approved by the City Engineer
and the City Fire Ilar3hal.

1( under-round aasoline storage tanks at 6th & Scott St., and four - 1000
gallon undergrowid gasoline storage tanks at 12th & Scott, providing the same
are installed in accordance with the requirements of the City Engineer,

Moved by Alderman Abbott that the Board of Aldermen authorize use of
the Municipal Auditorium., free gratis, to the Wichita County Chapter of Infantile
Paralysis Inc.., Thursday evening January 26th., for the purpose of giving a free
concert in the interest of the March of Dimes.
Motion seconded by Aldenian Brown and carried.

Moved by Alderman Bro-om that the Board of Aldermen authorize a refund
to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of the sum of $100.00 for auditorium rental for
Feb. 5, 1950, as evidenced by City Clerk's Receipt 1025 F, dated August 16, 194?.,
for reason that the engagement for this date has been cancelled and use of the
Auditorium will not be required; further to direct the City Clerk to draw a warrant
for the same.

Moved by Alderman Ray that the Board of Aldermen authorize the issuance
of a permit to Joe Adair to erect a warehouse buildin- within two feet of the

property line at 1705 - 7th St., providing the sa-me ,is erected in accordance
with the requirements of the City Engineer.

The request of Floyd Jones for an alleged claim for damages was

referred to the City Attorney for detailed information concerning the same.

Moved by Alderman Hunter that the Board of Aldennen approve and
-authorize the loan from the Water Funcl Cash to the Wattr Improvement Proposition
No. 1 in the amount of $1"I.OD0.00; likewise a loan from the Water Fund Cash to the
Sewer Improve,tient Proposition No. 1 in the amount of $3000.00, for the purpose
of paying for certain materials and machinerir for the two propositions which
payments may be necessary before proceeds from the sale of bonds have been
received; it being distinctly understood and agreed that both loans respectively
shall be repaid to the Water Fun"d Cash when and at such time as proceeds from the
bond sales have been deposited in the bank; and to direct the City Clerk to
draw warrants for the same.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried.

Mayor Harold Jones appointed Dr. R. L. Daily to serve on the Wichita
General Hospital Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Dr.
Powers, to serve in such capacity for the remainder of the calendar year 1950,
or urtil wuch time as his successor may be named, thereupon the following
motion was had:
Moved by Alderman Ray that the Board of Aldermen approve the above
and foregoing appointment by Mayor Harold Jones of Dr. H. L. Daily to 3erve on
the Wichita General Hospital Board in the capacity and for the time tl�erein
stated.
