Min 12/16/1949 (51 i Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building December 16, 1949 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session on the above date at 6:00 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room in the Xemorial Auditorium Building, with the following members present: Harold Jones Mayor Lloyd C. Thomas Roy W. Parish J. R. Ray Aldermen Berry Brown B. C. Hunter Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk Frank Wood City Manager Guy H. McNeely City Attorney Mayor Harold Jones stated the purpose of this meeting to be the consideration of various matters of impvvtance to the City. Moved by Alderman Brown that the Board of Aldermen authorize the execution of a contract by and between the City of Wichita Falls and Hardin College for the assessing and collection of taxes, upon the terms and condi- tions therein stated as read to the Council, and further to authorize and empower Mayor Harold Jones to execute the said contract for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls. Motion seconded by Alderman Parish and carried. Moved by Alderman Thomas that the Board of Aldermen approve and adopt the corrected Plat and Dedication of Southmoor Manors Inc. covering 16.77 acres, as shown by the plat attached hereto and made a part of the records hereof. Motion seconded by Alderman Parish and carried. Moved by Alderman Parish that the City Manager be authorized to negotiate a contract with Mr. R. G. Hughes for water mains and sewer lines in Faith Village, as have been previously done in the City, providing the same is legal outside the city limits, and submit the same to the Council for further consideration. Motion seconded by Alderman Brown and carried. Moved by Alderman Parish that the City of Wichita Falls supply water and sewer service to Mr. R. G. Hughes at such time as Mr. Hughes at his owrl expense makes connection with existing city water and sewer systems, such services to be furnished Mr. Hughes at exactly the same rate now charged similarly situated additions and no part of the gross receipts for water and sewer charged to such addition be remitted until the addition is brought into the city limits. Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried. Moved by Alderman Brown that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried.
