The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Fallsy Texas,, met in
called session on the above date at 7-30 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room of
the Memorial Auditorium Buildingy with the following members present:
Harold Jones Mayor
L. R. Abbott
Lloyd C. Thomas
Roy W. Parish Aldermen
J. R. Ray
John C. Coffey
B. C. Hunter
G. D. Fairtrace City Manager
Guy H. McNeely City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk
Rev. Raybon Porter gave the invocation.
Mayor Jones stated this meeting had been called for the purpose.,
among other things., of considering the application of the Wichita Transit
Company for an increase in bus fares.

Mr. A. A. Procopio, 1301 N. 3rd,, came before the Council stressing
the need of a traffic signal light at North 3rd and Broadway Streets,, thereupon
the following motion was had:
Moved by Alderman Parish that the Board of Aldermen authorize and
direct the City Manager to install a traffic light signal at North 3rd and
Broadway Streets and pay for the same out of the Parking Meter Fund cash.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried.

J. H. Nix, who resides at 2106 Bluff., complained of an undesirable
dust condition of the street in the 2000 and 2100 blocks on Bluff Street., and
asked that the Council oil that portion of the street. Mr. Nix also stated
that property owners would be willing to p"e, whereupon the City Manager
advised that an estimate would be furnished relative to the cost of paving
the said 2000 and 2100 blocks on Bluff Street.

Mr. Leon Deaton appeared before the Council requesting the City to
install sanitary sewers in the 3000 and 3100 blocks on Ninth Street, whereupon
the following motion was had:
Moved by Alderman Parish that the above and foregoing request of
Mr. Deaton be taken under further advisement.
Motion seconded by Alderman Coffey and carried.
A delegation came before the Council to again discuss the merits
of the request of the Wichita Transit Company for an increase in bus fares.
Both proponents and opponents were again heard at length.

Dr. James B. Boren, President of Hardin College, requested the

Council to take some steps for the paving of Hempstead La e. and also asked
the Council to place a sufficient lighting system on the college campus*

minutes. Moved by Alderman Parish that the Council recess for fifteen

business. After a short recess the Council resumed its regular order of

Moved by Alderman hay that the Board of Aldermen approve the plat
and Re-Dedication of Gene Stephens for he-Subdivision of the part of Block
107-A highland Addn. north of the alley, said plat being attached hereto and
made a part of the records hereof.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunter and carried.

Moved by Alderman Hunter that the meeting be adjourmed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Coffey and carried.

of approval.
