The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls., Texas, met in
called session on the above date at 5:00 P. M. in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium building, with the following members present:

Mayor Harold Jones announced this meeting had been called for the
purpose of considering matters of importance to the City,

ORDINANCE No. 1485
AN ORDINANCE AM�NDING ORDINANCE NO. 1452,, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE
BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE GITY OF WICHITA FALLS$ TEXAS.. ON THE 5TH DAY OF FEBRUARY.,
A. D. 19482 SO AS TO ChEATE AN "APARTPffiNT DISTRICT" ON CEhTAIN PhOPERTY HEREIN-
AFTER DESCRIBED AND CHANGING AND RE-DISTRICTING THE SAME FROM DISTRICT "B" TO-WIT
"SECOND DWELLING HOUSE" TO DISTIdCT "C" 111PARTMENT DISTRICT". SAID PROPERTY BEING
DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS:
Beginning at the intersection of the west property line of Harrison Street
with the N. right-of-way line of the Wichita Valley Railway Company; Thence due
N. 6201 more or less to the SE corner of Block 4 of the Jackson and hoberts
Addition to the City of Wichita Falls; Thence due W. along the S. line of the
Jackson and Roberts Addition 6101 more or less to an intersection with the E.
property line of Giddings Street; Thence S. 201 for a comer; Thence W. 13' more
or less to an intersection with the E. property line of the Featherston Addition
to the City of Wichita Falls; Thence S. 827.81 more or less along the E. property
line of the Featherstone Addition to an intersection with the h. right-of-way line
of the Wichita Valley Railway Coopany; Thence NE along the Wichita Valley Rail-
way Company right-of-way to the place of beginning;
DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO AMEND AND CHANGE THE OFFICIAL MAP TO REFLECT
SUCH CHANGES AND R.LDISTRICTING; PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE; REPEALING CONFLICTING
PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 1452; ORDERING NECESSARY PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING
AN EMP-IiGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Wininger that Ordinance No. 1485 be passed and
approved as read on its first reading.
Motion seconded by Aldeman Coffey and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen S ragins, Wininger and Coffey.

Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldemen hold a Public
Hearing on Ordinance No. 1485 in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium
Building at 7-30 P.M. March 14., 1949.
Motion seconded by Alderman Coffey and carried.
