A. :licks came, before the Council requesting the return to Chester ManninL and Isabelle Manning the abstracts covering certain land previously acquired by the City for highway right-of-way purposes, for the reason that it had always been customary for the City to return the abstracts X to the seller where only a portion of the property was acquired, thereupon the following motion was had: "loved by Alderman Spraj ins that previous action of the C:-until on Uctober 5, 1948, wherein the Board of Aldermen authorized the sale of two abstracts covering Lots 8 & 9, Block 22, J. A. Kemp Addition, to Chester Manning grid Isabelle 1,1anning for a consideration of $45.00, be and is hereby rescinded; and that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to deliver the aforesaid abstracts to the said Chester Manning and Isabelle ilanning, respectively, without cost to either of them. Moved by Alderman hunter that Carl Thompson, Ci�aier of the lionroe Street Theatre, be r)ermitted to construct and install an emergency exit ramp from the Lonroe Strut Theatre, in accordance with the plans and blue- prints as submitted, a copy of wl.ich is attached hereto and made a part of the .records hereof; providing the same is constructed under the supervision and direction of the City Fniineer. The petition of Pat Hardage, bearing eight signatures, requesting the Council to close the alley between the property facing Sturdivant St. on the south and Pembroke Lane on the north, was considered by the Council, whereupon the matter was referred to the City Attorney for preparation of the necessary ordinance to close said alley, and report same to the Council for further consideration. Moved by Alderman Ka.dane that the Board of Aldermen approve and authorize the issuance of a two year lease extensiori to a certain lease agreement previously entered into by and between the City of Wichita Falls, Lessor, and Hubert Stringer, Lessee, on the 26th day of iiay, 1948, the said lease agreement renewal to be upon the same terms and conditions as recited in said Lease Agreeraerit extcuted on lvi<ay 26, 191+8; with the further consideration that the Lessee shall, at his own expense, construct a sufficient barbed id re fence around the area recited in orip-;inal lease agreement dated May 26, 1948; aid further to authorize and empower the City il,urager to execute the same for and on behalf cf the City of W-1-chita Fall--.
