The Board of Aldermen of '..he City of Wichita Fails, Texas, met in
called session on the above date at 5 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room in
the Memorial Auditorium Building, with the follol,ving members present:
Harold Jones Mayor
C. A. Spragins
J. R. hay Aldermen
John C. Coffey
G. D. F'airtrace City Manager
Kearby Peery City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk
A quorum being present, Mayor Jones stated that this meeting had
been called for the purpose of considering various matters of importance to
the City.
Moved by Alderman Hay that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
sale of abstracts covering Lot 8, Block 22, and Lot 9, Block 22, all in
�. A. Kemp Addition, to Chester Manning, for a consideration of approximately
W.00, or one-half price, since it appears that the said abstracts are
of no immediate value to the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Coffey and carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 1472
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE
CITY GOVLFtNI�iNT Mh THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBM 30, 1948.
Moved by Alderman Coffey that Ordinance No. 1472 be approved and
passed as read on its second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Ray and Coffey
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Coffey that the Council hold a Public Hearing on Ord.No.14?3
at the next regular meeting to be held October 11, 1948, and that due notice of
the same shall be published in the Record newspaper.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ray and carried.
.Moved by Alderman Spragins that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Coffey and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
