Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Appropriating $215,150 Of Funds Received From Tarrant County,
Texas and Program Income Therefrom To The Special Revenue Fund
For Ryan White Part B Grant Funding And Authorizing The City
Manager To Execute All Documents Necessary To Accept Said
Funds
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of the availability of $211,050 of Ryan White Part B grant funds from Tarrant
County, Texas, and $4,100 of earned program income;
WHEREAS, the Health District and Tarrant County, Texas desire to enter into a
contract for HIV preventative services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2009-2010 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $215,150 for the
Early Intervention Program, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to accept the grant funds therein, including a contract with the
Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health
District.
