Memorial Auditorium
September 12, 1947
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
called session on the above date at 1.1:00 o'clock A. M. in the Council Roora
in the Memorial Auditorium, with the following members present:

T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk
The City Clerk announced this meeting was called for the purpose
of considering; the request of the Four Threes Taxi Cab Co. to transfer its
Certificates of Convenience and Necessity to A. A. Carter and J. H. York.
Moved by Alderman Spell. that. since Mayor. W. B. Hamilton was
absent, Alderman J. M. Haber be elected Mayor pro tem for this meetiria.
Motion seconded by Alderma*i Evans and carried.
The application of the Four Threes Tax_ Cab Co. to transfer its
Certificatfz of Convenience and Necessity came on to be considered, whereupon
City Attorney T. A. Hicks presented a written opinion to the effect that
since all of the Taxicab Corananies of this City had signed a written consent
for transfer of ownership from the said Four Threes Taxi. Cab Co. to the
proposed purchasers, the Council would be justified in waiving a public
hearing, thereupon the following motion was had:
Moved by Alderman Spell that in accordance with the ruling of the
City Attorney, the Board of Aldermen approve and authorize the transfer
from F. G. Holmberg, dba Four Threes Taxi. Cab Co. the Certificates of
Convenience and Necessity to operate 114 t:aKlcabs on the streets of t.l;e City
of Wichita Falls, together with the cash taxicab deposit now on deposit
with the City of Wichita Falls to the crc-!di.t of the Four Threes Taxi Cab
Co., in amor4nt of 35(XI).00, to A. A. Carter and J. H. York, dba Four Threes
Taxi Cab Co.

Moved by Alderman Spell that the previous action of the Council on
September g, 1947, wherein the City Manager was authorized to lease certain
space in the Basement of the Memorial Auditorium to the Area Boy Scouts for a
period of three to five ;ears, the first six months rent being free gratis,
and the remaining period to be 75.CO per month, be and is hereby rescinded;
and that the Board of Aldermen approve and authorize the leasint of the same
space to the said Area Boy Sccuts for a consideration of $35.00 per month for
each month occupied; and further to authorize the City Manager to execute a
lease contract for the same for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Fails.
