July 7, 1947
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
called session on the above date at 7-30 o'clock P. M. in the Council Rocm
in the Memorial Auditorium, with the following; members present:

G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk
Mayor Hamilton announced this meeting was called for the purpose
of holding a public hearing, as advertised, on the application of Glen
W. Krottinger to purchase the Yellow Cab Company.

The public hearing, was held and there being; no opposition voiced,
the followir_,� motion was had:

Moved by Alderman Easth,%m that the public hearings be closed.

Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
Moved by Alderman Eastham that the Board of Aldermen approve the
application of Glen W. Krottinger to purchase the Yellow Cab Company, and
likewise approve and authorize Homer Humphries, Clint Humphries and E. C.
Hottinger, dba Yellow Cab Company, to transfer their Certificates of Necessity
and Convenience to operate eleven taxicabs on the streets of the City,
together with the sum of $2750.00 to their credit in the Taxicab Deposit Funds,
to the said Glen W. Krottinger, dba Yellow Cab Company.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
Moved by Alderman WininLe�• that the City Manager be authorized and
directed to employ a Manager for the Airport at a salary of $300.00 per month
to September 30, 1947.
Motion seconded by Alderman Eastham and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wininger that the Board of Aldermen ratify the
action of the City Manager and City Clerk for the payment of delinquent taxes,
to clear title on Lots 8 and 9. Block 177, Original, previously acquired by
the City from Bentley Bacon, as follows:

Moved by Alderman 1,1ninger that the Board of Aldermen authorize a refund to
J. R. Payne of the sun of $10.65 on account of a double tax payment covering the North
30 feet of Lot 11 and the South 1/2 of Lot 12, Block 99, Original, for the year 1946,
and to direct the City Clerk to draw a warrant for the same.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spell and carried.

installment of air conditioners over awnings to the following named firms and
addresses, for the period from July lst to October lst, 1947, providing the same are
installed under the direction and supervis;_on of the City Engineer:

Miller Drug Store, Corner 8th & Ohio
Texas Seismograph Co. 1633 huff

Moved by Alderman Eastham that the Board of Aldermen authorize the erection
of signs between the curb and side-walk to the following named firms and addresses for
a period of one year, providing the same are installed under the direction and super-
vi3ion of the City Engineer:
Big Dog Cafe, 323 Indiana
Traynham-Roberts Co. 1 313 Scott
Motion seconded by'Ald=.an Wininger and carried.
Moved by Alderman ;Iinirgar that the Board of Aldermen authorize and direct
the City Engineer to change the name of Twenty-Sixth Street, between Tasp6r and
the alley west of ildlliday, -to Victory Street.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spell and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wininger that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spell and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
