Several citizens owning pronerty i_r. Blocks ?00 and 209. Original
vigorously protested the proposed construction of a railvoy switch track
in the alley bet,,reen Lamas and Scott Avenue in said blocks BOO and ?09,
,erhereas Sid Caires presented tv,o letters hearing three signatures each
stating that they had previously objected to the laying of the said switch
track but that now have no objuections to the same.
Thereupon the f olloKng motion -as had:
Noved by Alderman Faotram that the City Attorney be directed to
prepare the necessary ordinance for the purpose of granting a franchise to
the 41chita 7 lley Railway to lay a Furitch track in the alley between Scott
and Tamar Avenues in Blocks 200 and 209. Original, for consideration of the
Council; aV that the Game shall he published in the parer and a public
hearing of the proposed ordinance he set for the next meeting scheduled to he
held Monday night , Janunry 27, 1947.

Moved by Alderman Evans that a special permit be granted to Pond's
Laundry for a reriod of .five months only for the purpose of erecting a
15146' sheet iron building to temporarily house a boiler for the laundry.

Jack Ballard presented three petitions bearing his signature only
protesting granting franchises respectively to Tone Star Cos Co. , United Gas
Co. and `.^richita Transit Co. The netitions were filed in the office of the

November 20, 191461 for the leasing of a certain tract of land for a Naval
Reserve out of the �oUthwest corner of Lot 1, Block 7, Bellevue Addition, for
a period of ten ears he amended to read for a period of 20 years; further to .
authorize Mayor W. B. Namil_ton to execute the amended contract for and on
behalf of the City of "°lichita Falls.

tiate with the citizens of r-?i?1c.-est Addition relative to improving the water
service in that area.
