The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
called session on the above date at 7:30 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium, with the following members present:
W. B. Hamilton, Mayor
C. A. Spragins, 0
J. W. Fitzpatrick, 0
E. J. Wininger, 0 Aldermen
Melvin B. Evans, 0
J. M. Baber, 0
G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk
Mayor W. B. Hamilton announced this meeting had been called for the
purpoiw of 11pAring report of the committee previous
with dW6rs of the Wichita Falls Air Transport Company for Posepointed to negotiate
municipal airport. possession of the
Thereupon Alderman Spragins, Chairman of the Committee, reported
that the decision of the committee was unanimous in their opinion that it is
to the best interest of the city to take over the management of the municipal
airport.
Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the City of Wichita Falls
exercise its right, under contract dated July 15, 1941, between the City of
Wichita Falls and the Wichita Falls Air Transport Company, to take over the
municipal airport from the Wichita Falls Air Transport Company for the reason
that the lessor deems it to the best interest of the City of Wichita Falls to
take over the said airport as provided by the contract dated July 15, 190,
effective January 1, 1947.

oved by Alderman Evans that the Board. of Aldermen go on record as
he action of the Wichita Falls Junior Chamber of Commerce for
their invitation to the Soaring Society of America to hold its 1947 national
meet at Bell Field.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger acid carried.
Moved by Alderman Spragins that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
