Min 04/24/1946 i 266 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium April 24, 1946 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session at 10:00 o'clock A. It. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium, with the following members present: C. A. Spragins, E. J. WJininger, Melvin B. Evans, Aldermen J. T d. Baber, A. Jay Eastham, G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager T. A. Hicks, City Attorney Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk °Moved by Alderman Spragins that E. J. W'ininger be elected Mayor Protem for this meeting. Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried. Mayor Protem E. J. Waininger announced a quorum present. The City Manager announced the purpose of this called meetingto be the consideration of authorizing the purchase of certain property of Mrs. Sophia Ferguson as a necessary part of the new site for the proposed City-County Hospital. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the City M anager be and he is hereby authorized to purchase of Mrs. Sophia Markham Ferguson the West 150' of Lot 4 facing Eighth Street and 116 2/3' of Lot 4 on Grace Street, all in Block 258 Original, for a consideration of $3,000.00 plus the assumption of one-half of the 1946 and prior years advalorem taxes for a one-half interest in the above described property; and further authorize and order the City Clerk to draw a warrant for the same upon like payment by Wichita Count y. Motion seconded by Alderman Evans and carried. ORDINANCE NO. 1411 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1366, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 17TH DAY OF AUGUST, A. D. 1943, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVOCATION OF LICENSES ISSUED BY SAID CITY TO OPERATE AUTOMOBILES FOR HIRE THEREIN, SO AS TO '.,ORE FULLY PROVIDE FOR REVOCATION OF' SUCH LICENSES AND ALTO TO POVIDE FOR THE REVOCATION OF CHAUFFEUR'S LICENSES 7J`HIC H ARE AUTHORIZED TO BE ISSUED UNDER SECTION 6-1509 TO SECTION 6-1509.2 OF SAID CODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. ?loved by Alde nnan Baber that Ordinance No. 1411 be approved and passed as read on its first reading.
