Ordinance Appropriating $30,000 To The Special Revenue Fund For
The Women Infant And Children Program Of The Wichita Falls-
Wichita County Public Health District For Peer Counseling Services
And Authorizing City Staff To Execute All Documents Necessary To
Receive and Administer Said Funds
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of the availability of additional grant funds from the Department of State Health
Services; and
WHEREAS, the Public Health District desires to receive these funds to provide
additional peer counseling services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of 2009-2010 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Women Infant and Children Grant Special
Revenue Fund $30,000 for the WIC Program, and City staff is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to receive and administer said funds.
