Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Documents Necessary
To Accept And Expend A Grant For HIV Prevention Services From
The Department Of State Health Services In The Amount Of $116,000
And Appropriating Said Funds To The Special Revenue Fund For The
HIV Prevention Program
WHEREAS, sexually transmitted diseases represent a significant health risk to
the citizens of our community and the surrounding area; and,
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Department of State Health Services
desire to enter into a contract for HIV preventative services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2009 - 2010 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept
and expend a grant for HIV prevention services from the Department of State Health
Services in the amount of $116,000, for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health
District, and said funds are appropriated to the special revenue fund for the HIV
Prevention Program.
