Henderson, City Clerk The :Minutes of November 6, 1944, were read and approved as read. 4arv.in Byers presented a petition bearing approximately 170 signatures of residents who reside on the I-ast side of the City of �,ich5..ta Falls, recuest- ing the assistance of the Cr)nncil in securing additional bus ser%2ce. The matter was referred to the City A,- na.ger with instructions to contact the CDT for the purpose of securing such additional bus service. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen approve for payment the bill of the 'Typewriter Sales Co. in the amount of '�W8.70 for repairs to the typewriter beloning to the office of the City Attorney, and further to order the City Clerk to draw a warrant in payment of the same. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen approve for payment the tiVi_chita General. Hospital bill for October charity patients in the amount of $915 .26, upon like payment by Wichita County. '4otion seconded by Alderman 1*4'ininger and carried. Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of a dance hall license to P. C. Clayton and Emma Adams dba Blue Flame Cafe at 101 North Lill. ',lotion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of a dance hall license to the Disabled American Veterans at the Labor Temple, 705 Travis. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. Moved by Alderman Wini_nger that the isosrd of Aldermen authorize the purchase of 1429.1 acres of land from Luke ,McCrory, Trustee for the Nilson properties, for the new water reservoir at a consideration of $40.00 per acre, aggregating the sum of $57,164.00, and further to order the City Clerk to draw a warrant in payment of the same. ':Lotion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen approve the purchase of an additional approximate 200 acres of land from the 'Alson properties for the new water reservoir in Archer County at a consideration of $15.00 per acre, and instruct the City Manager to proceed to acquire the same; it being expressly agreed and understood that the Wilson properties are to re- tain the mineral rights but expressly agreed that no drilling for oil and gas shall be done on the above mentioned properties by the grantor, so long as the reservoir is used for that purpose. Vction seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. 150 Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize the pur- chase of between 5 to 7 acres of land fee simple title out of Block 111, H•�G jib Survey for the new water reservoir in Archer County, Texas, at a consideration of $40.00 per acre,, and instruct the City Manager to proceed to acquire the said land. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. Moved by Alderman Iininger that the Board of Aldermen authorize the City Manager to purchase approximately 2-i1 miles of a right of way easement for the purpose of laying a conduit from the proposed new water reservoir in Archer County, also to purchase the right of way easement for a road from the water reservoir, being a strip of land 100 ft. wide running across Blocks 103, 111 and 112, Mark Tribune New Colony Subdivision, Archer County; further all the above right of way easement to be Purchased from the Wilson properties at a total consideration of $1,000.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the board of Aldermen authorize the city tax collector to accept in full Zor city personal delinquent taxes of A. G. Deatherage a prorata part of a $250.00 check submitted by the said A. G. Deather- age to pay personal delinquent taxes of the city, school and college combined. Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried. ARoved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize filing suit and foreclose on Lot 12, Block 51 Granger Park Addition to the City of r"dichita Falls , for the collection of delinquent taxes. - Motion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried. loved by Alderman Wininger that the Board of Aldermen authorize the city tax collector to accept in full for city personal delinquent taxes of Lfallonee Grocery a prorata part of the proposed settlement of $75.00 to pay delinquent taxes of the city, school and college combined; the amount received by the City being approximately 536.66. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. Moved by Alderman Stephens that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
