M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium Building with the following members present: W. B. Hamilton, Mayor C. A. Spragins, E. J. Wini.nger, W. Ralph Hyer, Aldermen J. M. Baber, 0. G. Stephens, G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager T. A. Hicks, City Attorney Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk The Minutes of September 25th were read and approved as read. ORDINANCE---O. 1391 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1944. Moved by Alderman Spragins that Ordinance No. 1391 be approved and passed as read on its third and final reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Wininger, Hyer, Baber and Stephens. Nays: None. RESOLUTION RESOLUTION FIXING SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES TO BE ALLOWED THE CITY NATIONAL BANK IN WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS TRUSTEE IN THE TRUST INDENTURE MADE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECURING THE PAYMENT OF THE REVENUE BONDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $30001000.00 KNOWN AS "CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FIRST MORTGAGE ZATER WORKS SYSTEM REVENUE IMPR0VEMENT BONDS." TEXAS: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, That the City National Bank in Wichita Falls, Texas, named as Trustee in a certain Trust Indenture between the City of Wichita Falls and the City National bank in Wichita Falls made for the purpose of securing the payment of certain revenue bonds in the amount of $31500,000.00, known as "City of Wichita Falls, 'Texas, r'irst Mortgage Water works System Revenue Improvement Bonds," in consideration of its acceptance of said trust be allowed, and the City of Wichita Falls hereby promises to pay to said Trustee for its services aforesaid the following schedule of fees: FIRST: Acceptance fee - *100.00 SECOND: Annual fee - 1/40th of 1% for the total amount of bonds outstanding, with a minimum annual charge - 4150.00. 129 THIRD: Certification fee - 250 for each bond for the first 3000 bonds, and 500 for each bond for the remaining 500 bonds. FOURTH: Closing fee - 1/40 of 1% of the authorized issue, payable annually as bonds are retired. FIFTH: Reasonable compensation for such additional services as may be performed from time to time by said Trustee in accordance with Art. 8, Sec. 9 of the Trust Indenture. Moved by Alderman Baber that the above and foregoing resolution be approved and passed as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Wininger, Hyer, Baber and Stephens. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of chauffeur's licenses to G. H. McAdams and V. F. Bolin. Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen approve for payment the bill of Mrs. Mollie Stipe in the amount of $25.00 for services rendered in connection with the condemnation proceedings in Archer County with reference to the new reservoir project, and authorize and order the City Clerk to draw a warrant in payment of same. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. • Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize for payment the bill of L. E. Trout in the amount of $1,150.00 for services rendered in the condemnation proceedings in Archer County for the new reservoir project and further authorize and order the City Clerk to draw a warrant in payment of the same. ORDINANCE NO. 1392 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1-901 OF TITLE 1, CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 1315 PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 6TH DAY OF JANUARY, A. D. 1941, SO THAT SAID SECTION SHALL PROVIDE FOR ONLY ONE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN.,TO BE HELD ON THE SECOND MONDAY NIGHT OF EACH CALENDAR MONTH. Moved by Alderman Hyer that Ordinance No. 1392 be approved and passed as read on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Wininger, Hyer, Baber and Stephens. Nays: None. i 130 ORDINANCE NO. 1393 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-1509 OF THE CODIFICATION CF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, 1941, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1315 PASSED AND APPROVED ON JANUARY 6TH, 1941, AUTHCHIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ISSUE A CHAUFFEUR'S LICENSE UPON APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION BY THE CITY MANAGER AND PROVIDING FOR AN APPEAL TO THE BOARD OF ALDER21EN BY AN APPLICANT UPON DISAPPROVAL OF HIS APPLICATION BY THE CITY MANAGER. Moved by Alderman Spragins that Ordinance No. 1393 be approved and passed as read on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Wininger, Hyer, Baber and Stephens. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of a temporary permit to Lee Terry for the construction of a 6xl91 sheet iron;71� v . �..building at Lamar and Eighth Streets. Motion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried. Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen allow an additional 0100.00 to the Tax Equalization Board for their services for the year 19", and to be equally divided between Rosco Staton, Alan T. Bryce and T. E. Hill, and further authorize and order the City Clerk to draw a warrant for payment of the same. Motion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried. The City Clerk read to the Council a communication dated September 27, 1944, from the Sheppard Field Taxi Service, stating that the Sheppard Field Taxi Service had discontinued operations as of July 30, 1944. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned. READ AND APPROVED this the 16th day of October 1944.
