September 18, 1944
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:

J. W. Fitzpatrick,
E. J. V'Jininger, Aldermen
W. Ralph Hyer,
J. M. Baber, �
G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Moved by Alderman Baber that the Board of Aldermen authorize payment
to Ilichita General Hospital the amount of $1,022.66 for charity patients during
the month of August, upon like payment by Wichita County.

ORDINANCE NO. 1391
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE
CITY GOVER WENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1944.
?loved by Alderman Hyer that Ordinance No. 1391 be approved as read and
passed on its first reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Fitzpatrick, Wininger, Hyer and Baber.
Nays: None.
roved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Aldermen allow Murnh &
Taylor an additional sum of $107.54 for the construction of telephone wire con-
duit system at the Adiministration Building at the Airport, and further authorize
payment in full for the balance due said TAurph & Taylor in the amount of $262.86,
as shown by their statement, and authorize the City Clerk to draw a warrant in
payment of the same.

RESOLUTION
'PHEREAS, L. D. Fain has executed and delivered to the City of
Wichita Falls his general warranty deed conveying to said City 267 acres of
land located in Archer County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, said L. D. Fain has requested the City to agree to the
terms set out in the letter attached hereto for the sale and exchange of any
lands acquired by said City, out of Section One (1), S.P.R.R. Co. Survey,
Abstract No. 440, to which the City has agreed.
NCIF, T. -FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor, W. B. Hamilton, be
and he is hereby authorized to execute the letter attached hereto, addressed
to L. D. Fain.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the above and foregoing resolution be
approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Fitzpatrick, 16'ininger, Hyer and Baber.
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen approve the
purchase of one bookkeeping machine by the Wichita General Hospital Board
for use of the v"+ichita General Hospital, at a purchase price of $1,768.50,
the City to pay 50% of the cost and iiichita County the remaining 50%.
Motion seconded by Alderman Tvininger and carried.
The matter of renewing the annual lease with Sheppard Field was
referred to the City Attorney for investigation.
