The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:

The 111nutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

TMoved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen authorize City
Manager G. D. Fairtrace to execute a lease for and on behalf of the City of
Wichita Falls with the United States of America for the use and occupancy of
the second floor at 811 Tenth Street, now being occupied by the Military Police
detachment, for the duration plus six months thereafter, and to furnish lights,
water and heat, for the consideration of $1.00 per year.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
City :Manager to negotiate the sale of Lots 1 to 11, Block 76, Original to
J. H. Ami a.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize the City
Manager to lease a 50x80I triangle at the intersection of Fifth and Sixth Streets,
east of Holliday Street, to C. S. Henderson of Bowie, Texas, for a consideration
of approximately $100.00 per year.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen accept the work
of Murph & Taylor for the construction of the addition to the Administration
Building at Kell Field Airport, and further authorize the City Manager to
perfect such settlement as he may deem advisable with the contractors with
reference to the substitution of metal lathing for gypsum.

Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen reject and refuse
issuance of chauffeur's license to Louis Webb.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wininger that the Board of Aldermen authorize refund
of $76.50 to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Association- for the paving construction
of Avenue L near the Sacred Heart, Cemetery, and order the City Clerk to draw a
warrant in payment of same.

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDING TO CONDEMN CERTAIN�BEING I DAND BY L LANDS DESCRIBE
HEREIN SITUATED IN ARCHER COUNTY, TEXAS,
TRUSTEE; FURTHER PROVIDING THAT THE FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO THE LANDS AND PROPERTY
SHALL BE CONDENNED AND THAT ALL RIPARIAN RIGHTS IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH LAND
SHALL AISO BE ACQUIRE}.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Luke McCrory,- Trustee,
have been unable to agree upon the value of the land and property, hereinafter
described, or the damages occasioned by the acquisition of such land and
property by the City to be used in the construction, erection and maintenance
of a water supply reservoir and lake;
NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER)TN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Attorney be, and he is hereby directed to
immediately institute condemnation proceedings to acquire the fee simple title
to the following described lands and property and the riparian rights
by attached
thereto, located and situated in Archer County,
Texas., and ke
McCrory, Trustee, to-wit:
Being all of Block 110, American Tribune New Colony
Lands and a part of the following: Block 111,
A.T.N.C.L.; Block 1122 A.T.N.C.L.; the W. Horwitz
Survey, Abstract 646; =". L. Swain Survey, Abstract
448; Chas. Spaulding Survey, Abstract 388; the J.M.
Taylor Survey, Number 3, Abstract 655, and the J.M.
Taylor Survey Number 2, more fully described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a two inch iron pipe at a fence corner,
the same being the SE Corner of the Chas. Spaulding
Survey, Abstract 3883 and the NE Corner of the John
M. Taylor Survey Number 6, Abstract 649, and running
thence West 5281 feet to a stone marked SEMEP, the
same being the SE Corner of the '11.E.P. & P.R.R.

to a fence corner, the same being the NE Corner of
the E. W. Hunt Lands out of the John M. Taylor Sur-
vey Number 3; thence West with the North line of the
said Hunt Lands 5280 feet to a point in the West
line of the John M. Taylor Survey Nu#iber 3, and the
East line of the John M. Taylor Survey Number 4;
thence North 1092 feet to the NE Corner of the said
Taylor Survey Number 4; thence rllest with the North

feet to the place of beginning, and containing
1452.0 acres of land, more or less.
SECTION 2. That the City acquire the fee simple title to said land
and property and that it acquire also all riparian rights attaching to said land
and property for the reason that said land and property is to be used for the
construction, erection, and maintenance of a water supply reservoir and lake to
furnish water for the waterworks system of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and
is necessary that the fee simple title to said land, and riparian rights, be so
acquired so that the inhabitants of the said city shall be furnished with a
supply of wholesome water, and said water supply be protected.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the above and foregoing resolution be
adopted and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Spragins, Fitzpatrick, Wininger, Hyer and Stephens.
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Stephens that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
