M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium, with the following members present: C. A. Spragins, J. W. 'Fitzpatrick, � E. J. ihrininger, Aldermen V". Ralph Hyer, J. 11. Baber, G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager T. A. Hicks, City Attorney Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen elect J. '4. Babe r �,.,Tayor Pro tem for this meeting. c.otion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried. The 74inutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen grant permission to the Delores Beauty Shop to move an air conditioner from 913 Indiana to 821 Tenth Street temporarily for the period ending October 15, 1944, and providing the same is installed according to the requirements of the City Engineer, iaotion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. Moved by Alderman Wininger that the Board of Aldermen grant permission to W. L. Brownlee to erect a 241x36' tent at U09 Lamar Street to be used as a gospel tabernacle from August 8th to August 29, 1944. ?.lotion seconded by Alderman Spragins and carried. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize the issuance of chauffeur's licenses to Bill Potts, Melvin Fletcher, and Jim H. Jeter. Fenderson may be absent from the City of Wichita Falls. R. That the City acquire the fee simple title to said land and property and that i_t acouire also all riparian rights attaching to said land and property for the reason that said land and property is to be used for the construction, erection, and maintenance of a water supply reservoir and lake to furnish water for the waterworks system of the City of 14ichita Falls., Texas, and is necessary that the fee simple title to said land, and riparian rights, be so acquired so that the inhabitants of the said city shall be furnished with a supply of wholesome water, and said water supply be protected.
