The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium, with the following members present:
C. A. Spragins,
J. W. Fitzpatrick,
E. J. Wininger,
W. Ralph Hyer, Aldermen
J. M. Baber,
0. G. Stephens,
G. D. Fai rtrace, City Manager
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk
Moved by Alderman Hyer that Aldermen 0. G. Stephens be elected Mayor
Pro tem for this meeting.
motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize the City
Clerk to draw a warrant payable to the Vvater Department in the amount of
$13.08 reimbursing the Water Collection office for cash shortage by reason of
theft as per statement rendered March 2, 1944•
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried.
Moved by Alderman Baber that the Board of Aldermen approve bill of
Brewster Pendleton Electric Company in the amount of $1,051.63 for repairs,
etc. , at the Filtration Plant, and order the City Clerk to draw warrant to
pay the same.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen authorize and
order the City Clerk to draw a warrant payable to the Gulf Atlantic Warehouse
Company reimbursing them for payment due on a water main contract previously
assigned by the Houston Compress Company.
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried.

issuance of chauffeur's licenses to T. A. Eaton, A. C. Potts and C. J.
Thaxton.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried.
