The Board of Aldermen of the City of Vichita Falls, Texas, met in
called session at 9:00 o'clock A. Y. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial. Auditorium Building, with the following members present:

Mayor B. Hamilton announced a quorum present and that the Council
would proceed with its order of business.
Mayor '1% B. Hamilton also announced that the purpose of this meeting
was to discuss the purchase of land necessary for the City's new reservoir to
be constructed in Archer County.
Moved by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen authorize Mayor
. B. Hamilton to appoint a canmittee to negotiate with the land owners for the
qA*P=$Wd"purchase of the necessary land for the new reservoir to be constructed
by the City of Wichita Falls in Archer County.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
MayorW. B. Hamilton appointed Aldermen Baber, Stephens and Spragins to
serve on this committee for the purpose above mentioned.
Moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen authorize the�`Cit
Manager to purchase two automobiles for the surveying crews, etc, to be used in
connection with the new water dam project and the same to be paid for out of
, ater Improvement #4 account.

Moved by Alderman Baber that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Ald.errran Stephens and carried.
The Board of Aldermen, then adjourned.

Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize and
order the City Clerk to draw a warrant payable to Hamilton-Martin. Investment
Company in the amount of $228.75, same being payment due April 1., 1944, by
virtue of a certain contract entered into by and between the said Hamilton-
Martin Investment Company and the City of Wichita Falls on Yarrh 1, 1940, for
the construction of water mains in the Country Club Estates Second Supplemental
Addition..
Motion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried.
?moved by Alderman Stephens that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
issuance of chauffeur's licenses to P. 'A. Voss, H. L. Ferry and C. A. Bledsoe.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
The contract of &.. 0. Moore, as submitted -to the Council seeking
authority to remove certain undesirable fish from Lake Wichita, was referred
to the City Attorney for his attention.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
extension and construction of a storm sewer on the Dan Boone property so as
to provide drainage from the Eighth and Ninth Streets sewer lines with pro-
visions that T. R. (Dan) Boone shall execute a right-of-way egsement for said
storm sewer to be located on his property and to further execute a release to
the .City from any further claims or damages; the cast of the installation to be
approximately $650.00.

to City Attorney T. A. Hicks for investic-ati.on.
