The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium Building with the following members present:
W. P. Hood, Mayor
C. A. Spragins,
J. V1. Hunt,
W. Ralph Hyer, X Aldermen
J. M. Baber,
0. G. Stephens, X
J. A. Giddings, Jr., City Manager
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
Geo. T. Henderson, City Clerk
Mayor Hood announced a quorum present.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of
chauffeur's licenses to Dimple N. Morgan and Ison Lee Boren.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried.
Movej by Alderman Spragins that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
issuance of a 4omino license to Mr. & Mrs. E. Lee Smith, doing business as L & J
News Stand and Domino Parlor, at 809 Eighth Street.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
By unanimous consent of the Council the following letter was ordered
spread upon the Minutes and the original letter delivered to Garland Franks:

Gentlemen:
We, the undersigned, desire to express our sincere appreciation to the
Council for their action in naming Garland Franks Acting City Manager.
We believe this selection will reflect credit upon your ,judgment, and

whole hearted support and cooperation for his success.
