The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium Building with the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Hunt that Alderman Hyer be appointed ?Mayor Protem
for this meeting.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
ORDINANCE NO. 1377
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-702; (427) OF THE CODIFICATION OF
ORDINA'ICES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, 1941, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.
1315 PASSED AND APPROVED ON JANUARY 6, 1941, CHAVIGING THE AMOUNT OF THE ANNUAL
LICENSE FEE CHARGED FOR A PERMIT TO OPERATE A DANCE HALL WITHIN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Baber that Ordinance No. 1377 be approved as read
and passed on its second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried with the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Fitzpatrick, Hunt and Baber.
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Board of Aldermen approve and accept
the bid of the American-LaFrance Foamite Corporation, which was the lowest and
best bid for 3300' of 21" fire hose, etc., amounting to $1,935.00, also accept
the bid of the Eureka Fire Hose Division for four fog nozzles, etc., in the
amount of $164.40.
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Board of Aldermen approve bill in the
amount of $1,250.00 as part payment to Ray C. Arnhold, Architect, for the draw-
ing of plans and specifications for the proposed Isolation Ward at the General
Hospital, and authorize and order the City Clerk to draw a warrant in payment
of the same out of the Hospital Improvement Fund set aside for this account.
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried.

Moved by Alderman Baber that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance
of a dance hall license to Glenn Thompson, dba The Round Up Club, to be located
at 7051 Travis Street, subject to the approval of the Health Department.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.

Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
issuance of chauffeur's license to James L. Brakebill.
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Board of Aldermen approve tax refund
in the amount of t27.00 to C. F. Patterson for homestead exemption for the year
1942, and order the City Clerk to draw a warrant payable to Mr. Patterson for
said amount.
Motion seconded by Alderman Baber and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
