called session at 10:00 A. 1.R. on the above date in the Council Room in the
Vpmorial Auditorium Building with the following members nresent:

The 11ravor announced the reading of the ''i rmtes of the nrevious meeting
would be dispensed with at this time.
Mayor Hood also announced the nurnose of the called session was to
consider an urgency with reference to the problem of a fire hazard at the n.itz
Theater located on Seventh Street.
After careful consideration of all. nhases of the nroblem by the
Council.. the following motion was made.
Moved by Alderman Stenhens that since the fire at the Ritz Theater was
only a small. loss and being considerably less than 50% and inasmuch as tie
nresent seating arrangement appears to be adequately safe, that the Board of
aldermen. give their annroval and grant nermission for the reopening of the Di.tz
Theater.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
