The :Board of Aldermen of the City of " ichita Falls, Texas, .net in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Room
in the Memorial Auditorium Building with the following members present:

Mayor P. Hood announced that a quorum was present.
The "Tinutes of the regular meeting of !4ay 10, 1943, were read and
approved.
ib.ayor i`. P. Hood announced that the first item in the order of busi-
ness would be the opening of the bids of the Sanitary Seer Construction, Texas
Docket 'No. 41-167.
The bids were opened and tabulated as follows:

The City Engineer recommended that since the low bid exceeded the
amount in the construction fund, the bids be taken under advisement and the
bidders' security be returned on all bids except the four low bids.

bidders.

FIErtEAS, the approved estimate allotted certain sums of :money for

�.HEREAS, the bids for construction exceed the project estimate and
other various items of cost will not require the amount estimated,
. 011, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALMEMIEN OF THE CITY OF
T'VICHITA FALLS THAT
The Federal ;corks rgency be requested to allow a Project Change Order
in the approved estimate of cost to bring the estimated cost into agreement with
the probable costs of the project and that the City lvlanager be instructed to
prepare and submit the project change order to the Federal 'works Agency.

sale of the city owned property at 511 Holliday St. to the highest bidder, T. J.
Sharp, for a consideration of �603.00 to be paid in full upon delivery of Deed,
and further to authorize the ;:Mayor to execute said Deed.

having heretofore entered into a contract with Glade Construction Company of F
ytichita Falls . Texas, known as Contract No. 1 and being known as rater I ain
Extensions Docket No. Texas 41-1221 and
,`yiEREAS, the construction of this contract covering the entire project
has been completed in accordance with the terms of the contract and so certified
by the engineer,
11027 THEREFORE, Bh IT RESOLVED by the Board of E.lderraen of the City of
4Jichi.ta Falls, Texas, that this project be accepted as complete as of Ilay 17, !
1943, and used for the purpose for which it was constructed, and

Falls, Texas, that no liquidated damages be assessed against the r for
delay in completing his contract, as delays were caused by material furnishers
being unable to deliver materials on schedule.
