Henderson, City Clerk Moved by Alderman VYillia.ms that Alderman J. M. Baber be elected Mayor Pro tem for a period of two weeks. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. The 11inutes of the regular meeting of January 25th were read and approved as read. Loved by Alderman Ilyer that domino licenses be granted to H. G. Stewart and A. P... 'r ilson, dba Buckhorn Domino Parlor at 706 Ohio Street; J. L. Brown, dba Brownie's Nevis Stand and Domino Parlor at 702 Scott; Jack Vantrease, dba Basement Domino Parlor located in the basement of the Kemp hotel at Eighth and Scott Streets; and 4% J. Lambert, dba U. S . Domino Parlor at 508 Eighth Street. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. ORDINANCE NO. 1362 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION AND TESTING OF GAS AND ELECTRIC LETERS,, REQUIRING THE USE OF ,4IETERS NOT MORE THAN TwO PER CENT INACCURATE, DESIGNATING INSPECTORS OF SUCH I,1ETERS, PRESCRIBING FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR SUCH INSPECTION AND TEST'S, PR-',SCRIBING A PENALTY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman Stephens that Ordinance No. 1362 be passed on its first reading. Nays: None. 915 RESOLUTION That whereas, Sheppard Estates Development Company has prepared, executed and delivered to the City of 'fichita Falls an agreement between Sheppard Estates Development Company and the City of ' "ichita Falls with reference to paving Piedmont Place and Sherwood Lane in the City of iyichita Falls, and has requested the City of i'ichita Falls to execute said contract, which provides that said City will contribute certain equipment to said paving, which is to be done in the time and manner provided in said contract, and ,%hereas, said Sheppard Estates Development Company has entered into a bond to guarantee the performance of said contract on its part; said contract and bond being dated January 21, 1943, and Whereas, said City of Wichita Falls has agreed to the terms and provisions of said contract, and to accept said bond. Hicks to represent the Gity of '=jichita Falls in Austin_ February 9th at a hearing of Senate Bill No. 51, in roduced in the 48th session of the Legislature, authorizing the State AW operate all municipal airports. Motion seconded by Alderman Stephens and carried. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the City Clerk be authorized and ordered to refund the sum of $7.98 to Chas. B.
