The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regul:x, session at 8:00 o'clock P. 11% in the Council Room of the
Lemorial Auditorium Dnilding on the above date with the following
members present

The minutes of the regular meeting of November 2, 1942 were read,
and approved by r`ayor Vd. P. Hood as read.
Lioved by Alderman V+illiams that the Board of Aldermen grant dance
license to Francis tonzalez locates at 307 - 7th Street.
.=ayor rood declared the motion lost for lack of a second.
iG.oved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen approve
permit to Veterans of Foreign cars to solicit ticket sales for a benefit
pro gram.
D`otion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried.
City Officials attending the annual meeting of the Texas League
of Yunicipalities made oral reports to the Roard of Aldermen.
Loved by Alderman Baber that the Board of Aldermen grant chauffeur's
license to Pete L. 0ekman and Arge T. Holt.

R E S O L U T I O N
VEE:REAS, on August 10, 1942, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed
Ordinance No. 1347 levying one and one-half (1110 percent of the gross incore
of all persons, firms cr corporations engaged in the sale of natural gas in
the City of j,'ichita Falls, Tex s, and providing for the filing of quarterly
reports betreen the lst and 15th day of the months of May, August, November, and
Februrary of each year, and the 1925 Revised Civil Statutes of the State of
Toxqs likewise requires quarterly reports of such persons, firms or corporations
to be filed on the 1st day of January, April, July and Cctober, by which it is
necessary that the same character cf reports be compiled at approximately* the
smme time for the same purpose, and

V EREAS, the 77nited Gas Corporation has requested the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, to permit it to pay charges and file renorts as
required under Ordinance Ib. 1347 , on the lst day of Tanuary, April,
July and Cctober, instead of the dates provided in said Ordinance in
order to relieve said Company of an unusual amount of bookkeeping in
preparing said reports.

That the T:Tnited Gas Corporation, be, and it is hereby granted
permission to file the reports and pay the charges provided by Ordinance
No. 1.347 on the lst day of January, April, July and (:ctober of each year
instead of filin the same bete.-een the lst and 15th day of flay, August,
November and February, as required in Ordinance No. 1347. Provided,
however, that the grantinc, of such request shall in no vise change or alter
any of the terms and provisions of said ordinance.
