Yayor Hood called for public hea.rinr, on nronosed Ordinance No. 1348,
being ordinance providing for franchise to the Comr:unity Natural Gas Co. ,
A proposed franchise was discussed at length by members of the Board of Aldermen
and citizens present for the hearing.
Yloved by Alderman Hyer that the hearing of Octcber 26th, on proposed
Ordinance N. 1348 be continued at the regular rretinn of November 2nd. 1942.

Ycved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Aldermen
instruct the City Clerk, under the provisions of the ordinance
governing, to notify Hamp's Taxicab Co. , thpt the Certificate of
Public 'Necessity and Convenience under which said Company operates
in the Cit- will be cancelled as of November 9th, unless the account
due by the Taxicab Company to the taxicab deposit fund is fully paid
through November.

Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen employ
T. B. Allred &, Co. , to make an annual audit of the 7ichita General
Hospital at an agreed consideration of $100.00.

authorize expenditure of an estimated $195.00 for additional improve-
ments in quarters now occupied by 11il.itary Police personnel.
