The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session at 8:00 o'c1- ck P. Y. in the Council Room of the Memorial
Auditorium Building on the above date with the following members present:

The minutes of the regular meeting October 12th, and the minutes
of the regularly called special meeting October 15th, were read.
Y'ayor Hood approved the minutes of October 12th, and October 15th,
The l+ayor called for the advertised public hearing of proposed
OrdJaance Ivc. 1348, :;eing a gas franchise ordinance.

Community Natural Gas Cr. ,
Loved by -lderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
purchase of 10 trucks for garbage service, and. accept as the lowest and best
bid the bid of the International Harvester Co., for 10 - 1-- ton K-5 trucks at a
total consideration of $15.463.90; the bids specifying that the City is to buy
the truck bodies direct from the manufacturer, price of bodies being included in
the amount of bid. It being further understood that the avarding of this bid is
limited by the ability to deliver.

Moved by Alderman Stampfli that tre Board of Aldermen
authorize the execution of two easements and right of ways for an
electric transmission and distributing lines to the Texas Electric
Service Co. , at or near the location and along the general course now
located and staked out by said Company, over and across a 490 tract
out of the Lewis Wells Survey, Abstract 323, and out of a 91.6 acre
tract out of the Thomas Curry Survey, Abstract 344, and subject to the
rights of the United States of America under a lease contract with the
City of U'icbita Falls, and subject to all other contracts and contract
rights held by third persons.

Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen
authorize the City Vanager to make a trip to Atlanta, Ga. with ex-
penses paid, for the purpose of making a study of gas rationing
conditions.

adjourn.
