The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita falls met in regular
session at 8:00-o'clock P. iv, in the Council Room of the memorial Auditorium
.building on the above date with the following members present:

The minutes of the regularly called meeting of April 17th, and the
regular meeting of April 20th, were read.
s:ayor w. P. hood declared the minutes approved as read.
ib,oved by Alderman Byer that the board of Aldermen waive license
fees and permits for the showing of carnival shows sponsored by the Ameri-can
Legion August 24th to September 5th.
motion seconded by Alderman williams and carried.
P.oved by Alderman Williams that the Hoard of Aldermen grant the use
of the i4emorial Auditorium i5uilding to the ivorsworthy v�usic Co. , the afternoon
of kay 3rd.
Motion seconded by Alderman nyer and carried.

chauffeur's license to the following:

Letter from the Wichita Iransit Corporation dated April 25, 1942
accepting franchise provided in ordinanc ivo. 1;j37 was read. The text of
said ac;•eptance follows:
,,we have been notified by the City Clerk that our
franchise ordinance "o. 1337 was officially and
finally passed on April 20, 1942.
hereby ue advise that we accept this ordinance in
full, and will do our utmost to comply with said
ordinance and fulfill same, continuing to give service
as we have in the past.
rlease advise us the effective date or said ordinance,
so we may set up same on our books in compliance with
this rranchise.
,lbanking the Layor ana the entire council for their
cooperation.

authorize and order payment of $4tft.3o to the Cyclone Pence Co.,
for fence to be constructed around the property of the eater
Plant, same to be paid out of the Yater Fund, and the prorata
part or the fence to be erected on the i`exas electric Service
property charged to the Texas Electric Service Uo. ,

thereas, the City of "ichita Palls on the 29th day of Septem-
ber 1941, accepted an offer from the United States of America to aid
in financing the construction of certain improvements to the sanitary
sewer system knorn as Docket Tex, s 41-121, Sanitary Sewer improvements,
and
lftEH_AS, the City of Wichita Falls, 'Texas, entered into a
contract with the firm of Clouse and Yathis, 130 Winnipeg Avenue,
San Antonio, Texas, on the 28th day of October, 1941, for improvements
to the sanitary sewer system, and
Ylir�ttEAS, F. h,;. Runeley, City Engineer, of the City of Michita
Yalls, has advised us that the said Clouse & h.athis have substantially
completed the- work covered by the said contract of October 28, 1941.
